Benefits of Honor Societies
Honor Societies are a fabulous addition to any resume or transfer application, and often come with scholarship opportunities!
Learn more about VHCC’s Honor Societies:
Delta Gamma Chi invites students in criminal justice, social studies, fire/EMS, psychology, and other human services programs at VHCC. The society provides students with the opportunities to learn about law enforcement employment in our region. The club will also introduce students to job tasks, specialized departments, job shadowing, and other career preparation experiences.

The Society is an organization that helps people discover and achieve their goals. NSLS offers life-changing lectures from the nation's leading presenters and a community where like-minded, success-oriented individuals come together and help one another succeed. The Society also serves as a powerful force of good in the greater community by encouraging and organizing action to better the world.
Students are nominated by a faculty member to join NSLS, then attend orientation and are inducted.
Phi Theta Kappa promotes scholarship, the development of leadership and service, and the cultivation of fellowship among students. Students must have a 3.5 GPA and have completed 12 credit hours of coursework in a two-year program to be eligible.
